Voice / Collaboration Engineer

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise voice and collaboration solutions. 

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications or Avaya Voice platforms. 

• Implementation and delivery-focused background (non-operations). 

• Expertise in CUCM, Unity Connection, IM & Presence, voice gateways, and SIP trunking. 

• Experience with cloud telephony and UCaaS solutions and on-prem to cloud migrations. 

• Strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, H.323). 

• Solid IP networking knowledge including QoS and WAN design for voice. 

• Experience with hybrid voice and cloud integrations. 

Preferred Certifications 

• Cisco CCIE Collaboration (Preferred) 

• Cisco CCNP Collaboration / CCNP Voice 

• Cisco Collaboration Certifications 

• Avaya Voice Certifications (Preferred)

Role Overview 

iSpatial Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Voice / Collaboration Engineer with a strong background in Cisco or Avaya enterprise voice technologies. The ideal candidate will come from an implementation and delivery background (not operations-focused) and will be responsible for designing, deploying, and migrating enterprise telephony solutions from on-premises environments to modern cloud-based collaboration and telephony platforms. 

• Design, architect, and implement enterprise voice and collaboration solutions based on Cisco Unified Communications or Avaya platforms. 

• Lead end-to-end delivery of voice and collaboration projects, including requirements gathering, HLD, LLD, implementation, testing, and handover. 

• Design scalable on-premises Cisco/Avaya telephony infrastructures including CUCM, Unity Connection, IM & Presence, Cisco UCCX/UCCE, gateways, and SIP trunking. 

• Plan and execute migration strategies from legacy/on-prem PBX systems to cloud telephony and UCaaS platforms. 

• Design hybrid voice architectures integrating on-prem systems with cloud-based telephony and collaboration services. 

• Integrate voice solutions with PSTN providers, SBCs, SIP trunks, and cloud connectivity. 

• Collaborate with network, security, and cloud teams to ensure designs meet performance, security, and availability requirements. 

• Provide technical leadership during implementation and deployment phases. 

• Perform voice readiness assessments, bandwidth calculations, QoS design, and capacity planning. 

• Create detailed technical documentation including design documents, migration plans, and as-built documentation.
